I am Jesus’ witness

Pastor Dave Scharf

“I just want my life to mean something! I want to make a difference!” Have you felt that way? God also wants your life to mean something, to make a difference. And he has given you the greatest purpose of all. That purpose is to reflect his love to others so they can learn to know that Jesus is their Savior. As a result, more people will go to heaven.

Talk about making a difference! Could there be anything more meaningful than that? In the end, we will all die because we are all sinners who deserve hell. Only Jesus can rescue us from that fate. Jesus did so by dying on a cross and rising from the dead. Jesus wants people to know about it!

Jesus told the disciples, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Not only does Jesus give us the honor of being his witnesses, but he empowers us to share Jesus with the world through his Holy Spirit.

Do you see the point? Your life has amazing meaning and purpose! You get the honor of sharing Jesus with others, through your attitudes, through your actions, through your words. God bless you as you witness.
